jackie brown: well, my ass ain't the same. max cherry: bigger? jackie brown: yeah. max cherry: ain't nothin' wrong with that! for me, this film has some of the best dialogue tarantino has ever. it's more natural than anything else he has done whilst still retaining that touch that lets you know it's him. it's also the slowest of his films. it takes a long time for anything to happen. i'm just fine with that. read

It has traces of Tarantino, but the characters are a little further away from Tarantino humor, the dialogues and music already prove that it is a Tarantino movie, and of course I cannot help but mention, he still does not give up his foot fetish and it is his style to make the movie longer than necessary. Despite everything, I really enjoy his movies. read

it is still one of tarantino's best. the performances across the board are outstanding. the music is a perfect fit for the tone that is being captured. samuel l jackson's hair is something else. read

for years i have had a number of songs downloaded for apparently no reason i don't ever recall discovering them and then i watch this and realize they were all from when i downloaded a youtube playlist of tarantino soundtracks and now i like the songs but unfortunately this movie wasn't what i was expecting i think, i wanted some actual badass and camp and blaxploitation moments from jackie but it was just too different so i stopped paying attention halfway i'm sorry. read

I like the moment when the veins pop out on Ordell's forehead. It's a quiet moment in the front seat of a van, he's sitting there next to Louis, he's just heard that he's lost his retirement fund of $500,000, and he's thinking hard. Quentin Tarantino lets him think. Just holds the shot, nothing happening. Then Ordell looks up and says, "It's Jackie Brown.'' He's absolutely right. She's stolen his money. In the movies people like him hardly ever need to think. The director has done all their thinking for them. One of the pleasures of "Jackie Brown,'' Tarantino's new film, based on a novel by... read

this is a good movie, but it's sucks as "the tarantino movie". i dunno, but this not felt like tarantino's movie at all, too normal and average. also personally for me in this film samuel l. jackson and robert de niro played their best roles. read
