100/100 Идеальный сиквел. Плохо помню оригинал, но вроде там сам монстр появился ближе к концу, что малость удручало. Тут же, то что ожидаешь от фильма про Франкенштейна, собственно самого монста Франкенштейна хватает сполна. Правда самой невесты тут минуты 3, зато ля какая... В общем, чистейшее К И Н О. part of obligatory october of horror not gonna lie, i was expecting the sequels to be shameless cashgrabs. this one, at the very least, was actually great. the monster is a sad and sympathetic character, the performances are captivating, and the gothic expressionist style is oozing from every scene. i'm even more into this than the first one. read more

I found this one quite good, the sequel to Frankenstein which was also directed by James Whale. Boris Karloff is cast again as the Monster. This seemed to be a bit of a comedy in places which seems a bit strange but I guess it was intentionally this way. read more

While it doesn't have anything quite as singularly poignant as the shot of Frankenstein approaching his monster with the torch in his hand or the girl's body getting carried into town or the burning windmill, it's still a great follow-up to the original Frankenstein. The gothic set design has really been upped a notch here, and the monster is now more of an existential character study by himself than an extension of Frankenstein's. It is my favourite Frankenstein movie. Really glad they delved into the character further than focusing on the horror aspect(which is missing from modern horror) not leaving it behind and providing a wonderful experience. read more
