this hit everything i want out of a bond movie. roger moore plays bond differently than connery did, bringing a lighter tone. i think that fits a little better with what the bond movies were becoming, because quite frankly, they just kept getting more and more ridiculous. i understand why some may have an issue with the sexism and blaxploitation elements of the film, but that is just what these are. they don't take themselves seriously, which allows them to do things that would be problematic if it ever looked like they actually believed what they are saying. watched as part of scavenger... read more

vive y deja morir primera pelicula de roger moore encarnando al famoso agente 007, que le daría un tono más humoristico a la saga. roger moore lo hace bien, aunque las comparaciones con connery son odiosas. las escenas de acción son de lo mejorcito de la saga, no así la historia y guión. en esta ocasión se aprovecha la por aquella moda de la blaxpoitation. a destacar la escena de los cocodrilos que eran de verdad, y tuvieron que hacer varias tomas hasta que salio bien, jugandose la vida el kananga real. es más interesante el propio making of que la película en si, que para rematar la faena... read more

60/100 Не ожидал, что в какой-то момент всё скатится в комедию, но я и не против. Сцена погони на лодках и персонаж jw, прям порадовали. Да и вообще всё, что не связано с островом в фильме сделано фаново, а вот на острове какая-то душная версия Доктора Ноу. read more

A somewhat fun addition to the James Bond series, but the messages and subtext were really questionable. The plane and boat chases are absolute cinema at their finest. read more

A bit of a mixed bag, clearly a few new things are being tried out, which is welcome, considering how fatigued I was getting with Connery's post Goldfinger run, but still a few kinks to iron out in this transitional movie. Eon's strategy back then was clearly to crank out Bond films as quickly as possible, most entries coming out just a year after the last, a schedule that seems to take it's toll on the writers; the result is that a lot of these movies are plagued by filler. LaLD has some good action and finishes quite strongly, not to mention it has not only the best, but most versatile read more
