it is basically a marriage that was on the edge of collapse finally breaking and it isn't that interesting to watch. it is clear that godard thinks there is something deep here, but i can't figure out what it is. i'm not really invested in the characters, so i don't care when their marriage collapses. if the entire film was just fritz lang discussing the odyssey that would be more interesting to me. they were trying to do some ambitious stuff with the camera and some of it worked and some didn't. the musical score was atrocious. it seemed to be two themes that they flipped a coin to decide... read more
