i don't get the hate for this movie. i really don't. if you like terminator or t2 and you want a sequel this movie does a pretty good job. how can you complain when you have arnold returning, excellent action sequences and a story that continues what has come previous and sets up for the future. okay, maybe you can complain a little. sure the new terminator baddie isn't all that original and same goes with the story. and sure james cameron didn't direct this one but jonathan mostow does a pretty damn good job. and fine, as a film it didn't define a generation or blow you away with effects that you ain't ever seen before like in t@ or to a certain extent the first film. but who cares. you want mindless blockbuster action entertainment then this film delivers. you can't expect every film to be an original piece of classic cinema especially when you are making a part three to a series that really only had one original idea and was recycled for the sequel. for this film instead of trying to ape the story of the first film (and therefore the second film too) they tried to come up with something a little different. but more importantly they focused on creating an entertaining action extraveganza and in my eyes they sure as hell delivered. that ambulance firetruck chase scene is just awesome. i guess what it comes down to with this film is this. if you go in expecting cameron creativity and originality you will be disappointed and call this film a failure but if you go on expecting a fun action film with everyone's favourite austrian then a damn good time you shall have. i really like this film and to hell with everyone else's opinion. oh, and that ending scene, it was perfect, just perfect. production design: 9 out of 10 cinematography: 8 out of 10 re-playability: 8 out of 10 originality: 6 out of 10 costumes: 8 out of 10 directing: 8 out of 10 editing: 8 out of 10 acting: 7 out of 10 music: 8 out of 10 script: 7 out of 10 77/100
