Review of 68 Kill

Overall Rating
some vague spoilers ... like super vague ... im not sure that ive ever come across a movie before that i couldnt come up with a defense for in case i actually needed to have one for some reason; in case i was ever asked to guest on a podcast and argue the merits of the latest matthew gray gubler film in which he plays quite possibly the most spineless lead in movie history. you know, just for shits and giggles. well, until now that is. ill never understand how this movie has a rating over 3 on this site, but then thats kinda why i like it here. everyone has their tastes and their opinions on film and some align with how i look at flicks and some are wildly different then the way i see things and thats great. ive seen some insightful reviews on movies here that have made me gain new perspectives on some of the titles ive watched. im not that insightful. im definitely not insightful enough to understand how this movie has a rating over 3 on this site, thats for damn sure. i cant come up with one redeeming quality for this picture. gubler is brutal. its like the man forgot completely how to act. spending 40 years on criminal scene investigation or whatever has dulled any creative character building he mightve had at one point. the story was brutal. the idea intrigued me to begin with and i was kinda with this flick right up to the violet character shows up and we get a close up of her jiggly ass. it all falls apart after that and goes off a cliff with the “emotional heart to heart” in the hotel room and ends with the stupidest of all stupid showdowns in a trailer park. which is where they need to bury all remaining prints of this film that was shot digitally. god damn i wanted his character to die. 1/2 star for annalynne mccord... whoever she is. she was kinda fun and, not to put too uninsightful a point on it,  nice to look at.
