some films are experiences that are so different to what you have seen before. dogville is one of them. taking place on a stage with markings on the floor that signify the locations of the town, dogville becomes like nothing you have ever seen before. marvellously acted, well writing, stellar direction and an intriguing plot give the film legs. it's somewhat disturbing, intense and truly out of this world. it's like a play but a movie version of a play. it's exceptional and the way the lighting and the set and the story work together is literally ingenious. i've seen tons of movies, i've seen... read more
