silent hill series was one of my childhood favorite memories. it was also the gateway for me into understanding symbolism and oddly enough cinematography. it had not aged well, but i would without any doubt take silent hill as the best story in video game medium. now on to the movie, a video game adaptation. i went in with pretty low expectation, and all the movie was, it sorely lacked any depth. it was obvious that the movie tries to recreate the atmosphere of the video game, and it was fairly well done. but apart from the visuals, the cgi was sometimes horrid, the acting was mediocre, the... read more
