- Harry and his friends become convinced that the heir of Slytherin is Draco Malfoy, who is a student in Slytherin House and has expressed his belief in pureblood wizardry.

- However, it is eventually revealed that the true heir of Slytherin is Tom Riddle, also known as Lord Voldemort, who had opened the chamber when he was a student at Hogwarts years before.

What is "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets" about?
"Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets" is the second book in J.K. Rowling's bestselling Harry Potter series. The story follows Harry's second year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, where he discovers that a mysterious chamber has been opened, unleashing a terrifying monster on the school.

Here are some key plot points of the book:

Dobby the house elf warns Harry not to return to Hogwarts, but Harry ignores him and is met with strange occurrences upon his arrival.

Students are being petrified and rumors of the Chamber of Secrets begin to surface.

Harry discovers that he can speak Parseltongue, the language of snakes, and is suspected of being the heir of Slytherin who opened the Chamber.

Harry, Ron, and Hermione use Polyjuice Potion to disguise themselves as Slytherins and infiltrate their common room to gather information.

The trio discover that the monster in the Chamber of Secrets is a basilisk, which kills with its gaze, and that the heir of Slytherin is Tom Riddle, a memory preserved in a diary.

Harry battles the basilisk and destroys the diary, revealing that it was a horcrux, a piece of Voldemort's soul.

Harry learns that it was Ginny Weasley who opened the Chamber of Secrets under the influence of the diary and is saved by Fawkes, Dumbledore's phoenix.

Ginny is rescued and Tom Riddle's memory is destroyed, and the school year ends with Dumbledore and Harry discussing the implications of Voldemort's horcruxes.

"Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets" is a thrilling and suspenseful story that further develops the magical world of Hogwarts and sets the stage for the epic battle between Harry and Voldemort that is to come in later books.

What ever happened to the car in Harry Potter?
In "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets," the Weasley family owns a flying car called the Ford Anglia. In the story, Harry and Ron miss the Hogwarts Express and decide to fly the car to Hogwarts instead. However, they end up crashing into the Whomping Willow tree and damaging the car.

Later in the story, the car is shown to have gained some level of sentience and rescues Harry and Ron from being locked out of Hogwarts by the castle's protective charms. The car also helps Harry and Ron escape from the Forbidden Forest after they encounter the giant spiders.

At the end of the story, the car is found by Mr. Weasley and repaired with the help of his enchanted car repair tools. However, it's implied that the car may have developed a mind of its own and escaped from the Weasley's house, as it is mentioned in later books that Mr. Weasley is still receiving complaints about a flying car causing trouble. And ever since, it hasn't made another appearance in the books so it is most likely still in the Forbidden Forest.
