Obviously a classic for many reasons, timeless social/political commentary, simultaneously blunt and silly but also nuanced in its understanding of American politics and ideology. Fantastic set designs from the legendary Ken Adams, a great triple performance from Sellers supported by great goofiness from Hayden, Scott and the boys in the bomber, but... is it sacrilegious to say I didn't care for the epilogue? Slim Pickens riding the bomb to oblivion is one of the most iconic images in Kubrick's whole oeuvre, and then returning to the war room for one final round of beaurocatic tail chasing... read more
