i've been an avid fan of escape from new york since i first saw it back in the early 1990's, when i cannot be to sure. as the years passed and as i saw it moer and more and as i became a huge john carpenter, kurt russell and snake pliskin fan i liked the film even better. it's now officially too long a time since i saw it last and since i am ploughing my way through the john carpenter filmography i have finally found another excuse to watch this film again. this time under a watchful and critical eye. and as per usual it does not disappoint. escape from new york is as good a film as it ever... read more
