Rocky Balboa

There's an air of melancholy that hangs over this picture, which feels more like an honest sequel to the original than any of the films before it. That subtle, yet undeniably present darkly comic touch is back, and Rocky finally feels like the same man we saw in the first movie, not some kind of boxing superstar caricature. i was so looking forward to this film and unlike rocky iv it didn't disappoint. it was everything i wanted it to be in what was a final send off to rocky balboa (until creed came along). basically i had two issues with this film, one very minor and one major, and otherwise i loved it. i loved the story, it was a perfect way to continue the story of balboa and a perfect way to end off the character. and you believe it; having watched all six rocky movies in a row you believe that rocky would be able to fight and keep up with a younger and faster world champion. it's also made more believable... read more
