Hellboy

decided to re-watch hellboy tonight. i'm glad i did. the movie looks pretty good still, 13 years after it came out. there were only a couple times where the cgi looked dated, usually whenever hellboy's tail appeared on screen, but aside from that, it never took me out of the flick. ron perlman's performance as hellboy was fine ... i'm curious to see what david harbour can bring to the role in the reboot. the legendary john hurt was quite good ... it was interesting to see him act opposite doug jones in that abe sapian suit. i was curious as to what he would've thought about all the read more

i have never read a hellboy comic. i don't know if i ever will as i have no desire to despite really enjoying the films. something that i really enjoyed this time was that the sammael seemed to have the same screeches as the raptors in jurassic park. i hope it's not just my ears being strange and they actually used the same sounds. for me that's a good thing. the only down side for me is that everytime someone says rasputin i get that sodding boney m song in my head. every time. every. time. read more
