7 la soga estupendo ejercicio de estilo de hitchcock, con la gracia de ser en tiempo real en un aparente plano secuencia en el que hoy dia se ven claramente los cortes. por lo demás la historia es muy sencilla un asesinato cometido en un piso el mismo dia en el que reciben visita y han escondido el cadavver en un arcón. todo ocurrirá dentro del piso. a pesar de lo itneresante no está entre las obras maestras de hitchcock. read more

film school drop outs 2018 (2017 revision) alfred hitchcock watched this on blu-ray. pretty interesting film from 'cock. there has to be, what, fewer than 20 shots in this entire film? in 1948? this movie looked like it required a ton of rehearsing, with all the long takes and camera movements. i also thought it was interesting showing the murder happen at the beginning; you know the boys are going to get caught, but how sway? somehow this movie still has a lot of tension. great directing and acting. read more

it's a special kind of disappointment when you watch an esteemed film and don't have quite the strong reaction you're expecting. like you want to blame everyone for overly praising it, but you also want to blame yourself for not being able to just enjoy it for what it is... As I slowly go through the Hitchcock collection I decided on one of his more well known ones. In what is a very simple plot I found it not as action oriented as his other films. James Stewart who did a few movies from the director makes an appearance but after nearly 30 mins into the movie. I think this is adapted from a stage play and it certainly had all the look and feel of one and being mainly filmed in the one room. read more
