getting to know and dive into nana's character and the events surrounding her that lead her to the life of prostitution is extremely rewarding and satisfying to watch. much like godard's other work, you never feel for a second as if you're watching an actor portray a character. the film has patient cinematography that takes on a documentary-like style, heightening the realism to another level. the pacing near the end of the film is the only big criticism i have with vivre sa vie. the first ten segments of a 12-segment film go by with such smooth pacing that the viewer can't help but feel as... read more
