"when you can't escape, and you constantly rely on everyone else, you learn to cry by smiling, you know?" this sentiment strikes very close to my heart as someone who has struggled with suicide and depression my whole life. although my situation is far from that of ramón in the film, the sea inside stirred up many similar emotions to what the characters in the film feel. this was a very searingly sad experience for me. the pain in his family's eyes is the same feelings that i see in the eyes of my family. the hidden pain on his eyes is close to the pain that i feel, despite the differences in... read more
