an eternally essential landmark in the horror genre, and actually not dated in terms of execution, but shallow and slim with its 70 minutes run time and the inclusion of multiple scenes with his friends, father and fiance. it's all made very clear, but it comes off as too perfunctory to build the atmosphere. no rating. some classics would just belong on a different scale. side note: m, also a 1931 movie, was brilliant. of all genres, i think horror might be the one where a classic being dated matters the most: the movie just isn't scary or unsettling at all; only being aware of its read more

going back to this after frankenstein meets the wolf man really makes you appreciate the visuals and karloff's performance all the more. it's no bride of but they compliment each other so well. read more

todo un clásico, cada imagen es icónica. nunca está de mas revisitarla. aqui nos dimos cuenta que el monstruo es la creacion de frankenstein y que la maquina del tiempo es la de doc y que usan un rayo para llevarlo a cabo, y que cuando guardan la creacion en ambas peliculas llega la novia y la tapan. it's alive, it's alive read more
