working girl starts with a bang and it never lets up which is funny to say for a romantic comedy but it's true and it's because it literally starts witha jarring cut to the statue of liberty with carly's simon's let the river run playing loud and it's an epic song that makes you feel good and excited and thrilled and emotional and then the film sets up melanie griffiths story while this amazing song plays in the background and then there are small memorable roles by a young oliver platt and a young kevin spacey and a super skinny super stud alec baldwin and then sigourney weaver shows up and... read more
