from the director of wrong turn comes a pretty good episode of masters of horror called right to die. it's not the greatest episode of the show but it was pretty enjoyable, pretty gory, had a fair amount of nudity and a pretty solid story.
martin donavon stars in a tale of a man who after cheating on his wife gets in a major car accident where is wife ends up on her death bed. from her death bed though, she haunts him, enough to make him want to keep her alive. there is more to the story but in lieu of spoilers i shall refrain from saying more.
i like martin donavon. he's a great actor with a great look and for the most part he is pretty solid here. corbin bernsen is also good in a typical sleazy role and the gal who plays donavon's lover/assistant delivers a great performance too. the rest of the acting isn't bad but doesn't deliver like those roles.
if this film didn't deliver on the gore or the nudity then it would not be anywhere near as enjoyable as it was. but it does and it doesn't hold back which makes it a great little watch. it's also filmed rather well and the make-up effects are super solid.
i thought i would hate this film (based on the trailer i saw on another episode of masters of horror and because i didn't remember i thing about the episode since i last watched it) but i didn't. in fact it might just be one of the better episodes in the second season.
yup, this was a good one y'all.
