the darjeeling limited was a lot better than i remember. the direction here is less “wes anderson-like” than usual, and thats nothing but a good thing in my opinion. bear in mind, i do really like his directing usually but its nice to have some variety. it still has his charm but its not overbearing, you know? i especially like all the scenes in the train cabin. the framing, the use of mirrors, and of course the performances from the three leads, my favorite of which is probably adrien brody. he just brought this layered sadness to his character which just put him above the rest. i think this... read

another wes anderson gem. more dramatic than previous films and less comedic but that's not to say this film isn't funny 'cause it still is but the themes and certain moments are more dramatic than anderson has attempted before (or since). adrian brody, owen wilson and jason schwartzman play brothers who go to india on a journey of self discovery. their performances are pitch perfect and they actually seem like real life brothers. honestly, wes anderson films are all so good and they are very hard to review as every time you see them they get better and better. this film falls into that read
