Body Snatchers

this is either the third in a series or the second remake depending on how you look at it. i look it as a second remake. a remake that pales in comparison to the first two (and is way better than the next one). back in 1993 i saw this in the theatre and subsequently a few times over the next few years on television. i was 14 years to probably 18 years of age. each time i loved it and thought it was pretty damn good. suspenseful, original, a very sexy gabrielle anwar, fantastic effects and glorious cinematography, cut to 2012 and i am 33 and watching it on dvd for the first time in 15 years... read more

missed opportunity. i was very into this until the impersonal final act, just like the 70s one except i was way more on board to love this until it lost me. felt a lot like an x files episode mixed with both child's play 2 and 3; army base, christine elise, one of the tilly sisters (where you gonna hide?), just a perfect early 90s vibe. read more
