wonder is the story of auggie pullman (jacob tremblay) a boy born with severe facial deformities as he goes to school for the first time in fifth grade. middle school is probably the least forgiving environment he could be entering, as anyone who has ever met an eleven year old could tell you, but he has a strong support network with his parents (owen wilson and julia roberts) and his sister (izabela vidovic). if the story had only focused on auggie it would have been good, but what set it apart was that it branched out. a lot of time is devoted to his sister, via, as she is also facing a read more

this was a very middle of the road film. the entire experience felt unfocused. the way the film broke itself into pieces for the first half of it by showing different characters' perspectives really didn't add anything to the story. this segmenting just made it feel disjointed. many of the scenes that were supposed to feel emotional in this film just felt forced. a lot of it feels rushed overall. the audience doesn't get enough time to relate and connect with these characters. some aspects i enjoyed include the art direction and casting of the child actors. jacob tremblay and noah jupe read more

probably one of the greatest drama movie i have seen in a while, this movie rocked my feelings, made me laugh & then cry again. i loved the cut scenes for each family member, they were great i didn't see them coming, i thought the movie is all about the kid, these scenes were great, not long for very important. the chemistry between julia roberts and owen wilson was great. i loved it read more
