54/100 Первые минут 40 довольно таки неплохие, я бы даже сказал хорошие. И вообще, по своему вайбу они больше похоже на Ведьмака, нежели нетфликсовский серик по нему. Эта славянская зимняя деревушка с деревянными домами, а Бекинсэйл в корсете - вообще идеальный каст на роль Йеннифер. Проблема фильма кроется в том, что у него адово хуевый сценарий, куда впихнули слишком много всего. По-хорошему, из этого можно было делать трилогию. Сначала знакомство с Ван Хельсингом и Анной. Потом Дракула и его свиноматки. И в финале уже Франкенштейн и вся эта ебатория с оживлением и финальным замесом.... read more

learned this year that van helsing is not, as i assumed, universally beloved, and i've never felt more embarrassed by other people's lack of taste. no more marvel movies will be released until the academy apologizes. read more

this was bittersweet for me. i used to love this movie as a kid. which was... 13-14 years ago now. my brothers now, are closer to my age then. so obviously, they thought this was one big, non-stop, awesome-fest. and to your average 11 year old, of course it is. this stephen sommers failed franchise starter is just a hair shy of maintaining its appeal into adulthood. it's not as smart or as well written as the mummy, which was also silly and ridiculous, but self-aware and genuinely well crafted too. van helsing seems totally ignorant to how ridiculous it is, and it could've been a blast if read more
