i'm trying to take a break from movies i haven't seen, because it has become an endless shitfest. so, instead i'm going to revisit the ones i thought i liked, which has also become a disappointing shitfest. fuck my life! i use to praise this movie, why?... i have no fucking clue. the action scenes are really, really, really, lame. the whole gun-fu concept is a great idea, but here it is a cheesy contrast to the monotone seriousness. for the most part, the look and feel of the movie are good, but there are times where it comes across as a tv series from syfy. the end battles are hilarious in a... read more

a different kind of matrix, with socioreligio undertones of a policed prozac nation. ultimately about the triumph of the human freewill over the oppressive stately order, imposed by regular injections of the drug, cornily named prozium. bale looks inhuman in this pre-batman movie, but that was probably the intended keanu effect. read more
