how did he go from directing this to the other dross he's released? this is a great little film. sean pertwee and jason isaacs really sealing the deal of course. it's a shame that the visions of hell were so cut down though. it's even more of a shame that the cuts are permanent as the footage was destroyed. edit: http://io9.com/new-images-suggest-event-horizon-could-have-been-awesom-1161668923 most of the images are just shots from the rapid cut visions of hell. there's a couple of new ones though. read

i expected this to be a be a bland 80's horror flick. this expectation may contribute to my high rating, but i suspect that rewatching this film won't change my opinion of it much. the cinematography, visual language, and set design were phenomenal. the corridors, in particular, were well designed set pieces that created a sense of claustrophobia. read

"where we're going, we don't need eyes." supposedly his best effort, i can't say this rewatch added much for me. pwsa is at his best when he keeps things simple, and video gamey af. i do appreciate the effort, but the execution falls short in atmosphere and suspense. read
