yeah yeah special effects, yada yada creepy fly man, blah blah ew. the real core of this movie is so achingly human, with all the bumps and warts of relationships, and that's the real horror of the film. the brundelfly is the set piece, the people are the movie. read more

a monster movie and a tragic tale of a brilliant scientist that are too ambitious too overlook his sinister experiment mistake, not that there's going back afterwards. seth brundle wanted, or rather desired to showcase his technological breakthrough ("...changing the world as we know it...") but also he's attracted to veronica, who he's oblivious of her career. his brilliant creation, a teleportation device that works for every inanimate object and later on animated object is a wonderful creation. it operates on breaking down the object and reconstructing it at molecular level, a serious read more
