you can look at analyze this in two ways. either it's a great movie starring the legendary robert de niro where he spoofs his most famous style of role or it is the movie in which robert de niro subsequently ruined his career. i look at it as both (so i guess you can look at it three ways). after this movie de niro would never be the same. he would pick awful movies, do lots of comedy (most that don't work) and have a track record of movies that suck with a golden gem or two hidden among them. prior to this film his resume was peppered with golden gems of cinemas past with a turkey or two read more
