one of those "it's like a slasher but from the killer's pov!!!" that feels like it's a souped up pilot for something like baywatch nights. the scope reaches as far as the tip of your nose and seagal's self-obliviousness is peak "kelly lebrock needs to comment on my schwanz while i'm in a coma." and "hold up i'm gonna jot down a killer haiku on the bad guy's toilet seat before i shove a pool cue down his neck." enjoyably boneheaded and surprisingly low on boring action even though nothing really happens plot-wise??? read more

i think it's kind of hilarious that kelly lebrock looks like she's fighting for space on the poster. the movie was entertaining nonsense with the usual recycled action beats. yet i was kinda shocked for all of 30 seconds when seagal went down from a couple gunshots towards the beginning of the movie. unlike most action stars of the era (believe it or not), seagal made a career out of characters who are absolutely invincible. even schwarzenegger's terminator turns had him dying at the end of each movie, and coming dangerously close to death in conan at least twice. not seagal. he would saunter... read more
