the magic was there. at first i wasn't sure about ewan mcgregor. i mean obi wan? cristopher robin? hmmmm. but it did work. eeyore was just as he ought to be and the whole story sounded just like our story - trapped in jobs we hate and having no time whatsoever for the kids. we're self employed though so there's no evil woozle to combat other than our own decisions. read more

with all the subtlety of a sledgehammer, christopher robin discovers that there is more to life than business. this overly slow and stretched out plot would have made a great short film but had no business being as long as it was. its too boring to be a childrens movie and not complex enough to be for adults so i have no idea who this is for. well shot and great cgi integration, it was adorable in parts but painfully slow. the ending was better suited for a 90s movie on tbs rather than disneys latest live-action release. it missed the mark by a wide margin. read more

who thought this was a good idea? it takes all the joy out winnie the pooh and makes it a morose, depressing slog. it is shot in a kind of grey haze that makes it even more depressing than the story that essentially says that christopher robin abandoned his friends in the hundred-acre woods to live in fear for 25 years until he has to rediscover the joy of friends and family, then they can matter again briefly, but you know that they will be abandoned again to suffer in purgatory before long. the character design is a little horrifying, pooh kind of creeped me out. they also made pooh read more

christopher robin is the modern take on a lot of people's nostalgia, winnie the pooh. it about christopher robin all grown up and acting like a real adult in the real world. i actually really enjoyed how christopher robin's character was developed throughout the movie, showing his childhood, like the ones we had as children, and moving on and growing up to the work life, including all of the not so fun parts. also, each animal was really well-done and looked really great. bonus points for really good dialogue for each character, the voicing was great. i can't think of anything really wrong or... read more

It was surprisingly good. I expected to get bored a lot, especially in the beginning of the movie when it was indeed a bit boring, but it got so good so fast. This was a real masterpiece and I'm so happy I decided to watch it eventually. read more
