i understand expect going into this expecting everybody to be on their a game but this isn't what people ended up getting but martin scorsese's short film is a slow feeling slog that other director's such as vincent gallo have made the vibe into brilliant films. i also don't care much for the song a whiter shade of pale so hearing it for what felt like a loop of forty minutes felt like overkill. life without zoë gets most of the flack out of these shorts despite it being an reimagining of the book series eloise, these reviews ranting on about how she is just spoiled and rich isn't that read more

i was very excited for new york stories. i had seen moments of it on television when i was young and (as the perverted young boy i was) i only remembered the nude scene. that's not why i was excited though. i was excited to watch the woody allen segment because i looove woody allen! you see, new york stories as a 3 part anthology of unrelated stories directed by 3 prominent new yorkers. they being woody allen, martin scorsese and francis ford coppola (here listed as francis coppola). up first was life lessons directed by martin scorsese this is a fun yet sombre look at a troubled artist and... read more
