forgot to write notes for this, so sorry if this review is kind of awful. will never understand the hate people have for this for having no jason. voorhees was always a faceless murderer with no real motive, so i can't see how much that aspect really changes. continuing tommy jarvis' story is by far the most entertaining route taken. it's always fun seeing him on-screen and learning more about his character. tommy shines, but there are still some really great characters in this. every film in the franchise seems to expand creatively on where its story can be set, and that doesn't disappoint... read more

what was this crap? easily the worst of the whole series with bad acting, bad effects, a bad jason, a bad lead and just plain stupid and weak. i've seen it twice that i can remember. the first time was so bad i almost turned it off. the second time i actually enjoyed it more but with that said it is still one amateurish piece of garbage that was created here. a new beginning? i don't think so... if this was the route the series was going to take then i don't think it would of lasted past one more... production design: 6 out of 10 cinematography: 5 out of 10 re-playability: 4 out of 10 read more

Not bad as a horror comedy with fun over the top characters but the twist makes no sense and the kills suck.
