the music is great, the costumes or great and the story if as always great but there are a couple of problems that make this adaptation of the classic play a let down. the biggest problem is that the film at times (too many times) feels staged, feels fake, feels like it is a filmed version of the play. that is not what you want when you watch a movie adaptation. you want to see gritty and real, not fake 'play like' sets or theatrical acting, not at all. it does improve over the film and there are other times when it looks really good but as i said too many times when it doesn't. another read more
