film #15 of hoop-tober 2.0 cujo is another adaptation of a stephen king work that fails to hit the mark. lewis teague's film has just a couple of things going for it and too much counting against it to really count as a solid piece of work. those good parts include dee wallace, who is fantastic as mother donna who is menaced by the titular rabid dog. wallace makes a steady transition from panicked mother into determined (if still understandably frightened) badass who will do anything to save her son. the other aspect is the cinematography from jan de bont, which captures the mood and tone of... read
