first i dong think this movie is bad not at all its great. but i think i watched this movie in the wrong time in my life. i cant apreciate it enough. its to long, black and white and with subtitles. this movie is so slow that i really needed a second day to finish it. the cracter kikochiyo is one of the best in movie history. this was my first akira kurasawa movie and i appreciate it but not liked it much. read more

i did not know how much of a masterpiece this was until the final battle. it's also extremely influential, inspiring other movies like lord of the rings, the avengers, star wars, the matrix, mad max, and pretty much every heist film ever. read more

Been meaning to watch this one for a long time and glad I finally got around to it. "The Magnificent Seven" which was basically a remake of this is one of my all time favourites. Akira Kurosawa has crafted a magnificent film rounded out by the solid performances from the cast led by Toshiro Mifune. It's a long running time at around 3 and a half hours but the time went fast for me as I really enjoyed it. Highly recommended read more

The moment where Kyuzo says he's killed two bandits almost like it's a confession and just hands his sword back and sits down despondently, man that shit ruled. In a world full of spin-offs and origin stories, that type of mystery and aura in a character is hard to come by these days. Imagine setting out to make something as grand as this back then, when everything would have to be built (and burnt) from the ground up and basically no premise for something like this existing. There's like a whole family tree of movies that spawned from this creation, it's mind boggling. read more

I've been aware of this film for decades constantly hearing about it's influence in countless movies and TV shows. I FINALLY watched it on the 10' screen and loved it. Instantly I thought about the A-Team which I was a huge fan of way back when. This, like Halloween became the blueprint for an entire genre that may not be appreciated by viewers late to the game who don't have the perspective. read more

God, it's a greatest flick❤️🔥 I never expected this to be this great❤️❤️ the movie duration is 3.30hrs. I never get bored for even a single scene❤️💯 the humor content in this movie worked out so well😂❤️👌 I'm still wondering how this movie director pulled this hard task in early 50's❤️and the climax where one samurai said to other: we still lost the battle.... It's the peasant who won the battle" is heart touching❤️❤️ it's actually the samurais never won any battle. And the farmers killed and confiscated the weapons like spear and other such from the defeated or wound Samurai at the war.... read more

Woah!! I just watched a 3 and half hour movie and i wasn't bored for ONE SINGLE SECOND like i thought my attention span has gone to shreds but it hasn't and it was heart breaking and fun and good and i thoroughly enjoyed and the way the sequence of events went made sense and in their own pace but i followed along quiet well. read more

Praticamente impossível passar ileso por Seven Samurai. Provavelmente a obra máxima de Kurosawa, é incrível notar as sutilezas de sua câmera e a forma como ele conduz uma história em um filme longo, mas que nunca perde o fôlego. read more
