Coma

As an overall story this did not have enough to make it shine. Looking at the individual elements is a different story. The base premise is intriguing and the acting is strong with decently scripted dialogue and action. CGI is fabulous as is often the case in Russian movies, here though the use of it is superb giving an Escheresque feel reminiscent of Inception. All this provides a believably beautiful visceral experience, sadly the lack of narrative finally makes this an empty carcass. The whole is less than the sum of the parts.
