The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie

i initially saw this in the cinema when it came out and i was around 12 or 13. i remember being kinda mad because i felt like they took a show that for me always aimed to work on multiple levels with jokes that both children and adults could appreciate and dumbed it down to cater for a very young demographic. even spongebob's voice somehow seemed different (despite being voiced by the same actor) coming off as more infantile than i was used to seeing on tv in my favourite episodes. that being said, i didn't hate the movie and really loved a lot of aspects of it. the songs were catchy and read more
