the movie opens with pinhead talking to his accountant about how to be a more efficient hellraiser in the internet age. then there are about five minutes of good visuals, and then everything else is dumb and boring. if you ever wondered what pinhead does between times when he's summoned by the lament configuration, the answer is that he sits in a room and looks at a wall. read more

"amateurs." i was kinda hoping i'd hate this one, so i wouldn't be in a vocal minority again... but here we are. at worst judgment is mediocre, really. it's not great, but it is pretty interesting. i thought most of the new elements were really cool and very in-step with a lot of concepts from like, the old epic comics and barker's work on the boom studios line. thus, i really liked the auditor, and his whole hell-house operation. it allowed for more craziness while pinhead is kept in quiet reserve- as he should be. it really strikes me as bizarre and annoying that people complain that he's... read more
