film #21 in operation: rewatch my blu-rays i havent seen in a long time whoa, nelly. when the saw franchise falls, it really falls. the first four films in the series are not perfect, but they all have their strengths and if the sadistic serial killer horror is for you, there's a lot to enjoy in them. it's clear now that a lot of that credit goes to darren lynn bousman as director, because without his hand guiding things saw v is a disaster. patrick melton & marcus dunstan are back for screenwriting duties, but this is the equivalent of a saw clip show that rehashes the greatest hits of the... read more

I really like how stupid the continuity of this series is getting. Interesting choice to make it feel even more complex than it is by casting similar looking guys as Hoffman and Strahm. read more

i may like this one more than i gave it credit for, the traps stuck with me the most, specially the hand one. the problem is with the procedural parts. thinking of the movie now, this is the closest to an evil Taskmaster. read more
