Psycho III

psycho is a classic. psycho ii was a lot better than it had any right to be. so i was excited for psycho iii. but within minutes i new i was going to be disappointed.. p3 just disappoints from the get go. it starts with bad acting and really never gets better in that department. it also never quite feels like a psycho film as gone is the great music by hermann and goldsmith and instead we get a pretty terrible generic 80's score by who the hell knows. instead of a smart film with twists and turns and an original story we get a rehash of the first film told in a generic 80's slasher way with a... read more

gotta admit i am just digging these sequels. some truly great visuals in this one. the narrative of psycho iii is neither here nor there, but along with its predecessor there's a great general atmosphere and they feel like slasher films for grown-ups. severely underrated, probably due to the weight of that hitchcock legacy. read more
