accident man is a snappy action-thriller about a hitman trying to find out why his pregnant ex-girlfriend was assassinated. we're introduced to the pool of suspects: six other killers-for-hire that to the best of our hero's knowledge, are his buddies. so much for that. the movie is blast, falling somewhere between a guy ritchie thriller, and your above-average scott adkins vehicle. the movie is bursting with a well-rounded variety of non-stop violence. adkins brings his usual charisma and martial prowess to the table, at one point even facing off in a fight with both ray park and michael jai white. it's a glorious couple of minutes. nothing about accident man is gonna blow anyone away really, but my dad and i wanted a fun, quality, action flick, and this one more than got the job done. scott rarely disappoints and this movie is no exception. accident man handles itself with confidence and aplomb, doling out set piece after set piece with few hiccups in sight. it's not groundbreaking or genre defining, but damn if it isn't satisfying.
