i have a love/hate relationship with sports, once you get into it there's some real thrills to be had on a surface level, but get in too deep and you become too involved with something you're only passively partaking in, never mind the fact on a professional level it's all controlled by men who only have financial gain on their mind. still, an underdog story like this that's mostly about proving you can defeat the odds is hard to resist. it may be a formulaic sports drama but it's a damn solid one. if it's not broke don't fix it, just add kurt russell. read more
