well, it's not quite the thing, it's not quite alien, but man… (laughs hysterically) so to answer your question, i don't know. read

"i realize you must've gone through hell..." "gone? bitch, we still here!" basically the alien sequel that makes sense as a successor to the original. instead of a sequel where there's just more aliens, imagine if the alien franchise had kept changing locations. this time, on earth, a new alien, and it's underwater! i love these semi-campy alien/the thing knock-offs. from forbidden world to deep star six. leviathan doesn't look like it was made on the cheap. its sets have the same down-to-earth, working man's aesthetic that alien had. there's some cool underwater scenes, and some fun 80's read

My quick rating - 5;8/10. This movie had the unfortunate timing of coming out the same year as a behemoth of a movie dealing with a very similar subject; "The Abyss". Putting the comparison aside; this movie still holds up quite well; maybe not as much but still. The acting is well done and even still the creatures look good. This is accentuated by the excellent camera work throughout the confined space of an underwater mining ship. Tons of reviews out there on this one; so I'll end it there. read
