this was my second attempt to watch dead snow. the first time i failed because the group i was watching with just weren't as into the nazi zombie genre as me. their loss. this film is hilarious. full of in genre references and dark humour. one of the few films i've watched on the train without people constantly peering over my shoulder. yay! read more

nazi's make for great villains. so do zombies. in the tried and tested market of horror films you can't go wrong with mixing the two. such is the film dead snow, a norwegian horror flick about nazi zombies. set in a cabin in the woods in the mountains this is a great horror flick, maybe the best zombie flick since the dawn of the dead remake and is one hell of a lot of fun. it's got elements of the thing, dawn of the dead, day of the dead, friday the 13th, scream, halloween and evil dead (amongst others) and then it'a all natzified which makes the zombies even more evil. it's also tense, it's... read more

My quick rating - 6;2/10. Nice looking movie with a good mixture of action; comedy and horror elements. Plus the horror element is part of the comedy; zombie nazis lol. Anyway nice visuals; fairly believable character interactions and when they need the gore; they pour it on. read more

I thought this was a pretty good horror/comedy film that never takes itself too seriously.Filmed in beautiful Norway a group of medical students must face off against nazi zombies.I imagine this might have become somewhat of a cult movie in Norway and there it probably wont be long before Hollywood makes an English language version.Looking forward to the sequel which sounds even better. read more

now to the last two of my triple double bill. besides these three i've watched now, Evil Dead, and The Raid, Maniac Cop comes to mind whe talking about bigger better sequels. my take is that this movie takes place in the Cabin in the Woods universe. and i love that one of the guys arms himself with a hammer and a sickle (i'm so proud i had this idea independently from this movie before). read more
