Book or Film's Bad Ending? Which one is worse?

I remember reading the book as teenager bringing me all these weird feelings but everything was overshadowed by the ending of it. Well, there's no way to describe my frustration watching this after what the first one was able to accomplish. It really felt like it was dragging itself. This film should have never been this long.

Same but somehow felt worse.

From a visual perspective, it did nothing more than the first one. It relied a lot on jump scares rather than creating the horror atmosphere. I'll... read more

like marriage story, feel free to read this review of it: chapter two without fear of spoilers. enjoy! it: chapter two is somewhat of a risky move. after the 2017 adaptation did so well, i would have respected andy muschietti if he decided to leave the story there. however, he came back to direct and the results are mixed for me. much of the story feels like it is trying to make two movies in one and nothing can save it, unfortunately. yes, bill hader is hilarious and seeing the losers club as adults is great, but it just doesn't do the work necessary for me to feel satisfied with where the... read more

i hate that words on a screen can never truly express the raw emotion, or lack there of that is needed in certain situations - because at this moment i sincerely need all the help i can get when i say in the most honest and straight faced way - that it chapter two is without a fucking doubt my most hated film. and just for context, it chapter one is the only movie i walked out of the theater on. yet this is miraculously and magically worse. read more

Might be because I love the book to death, but the good of this movie is its loyalty to it, and the bad is its disloyalty to it.
