La Bamba

this was a neat movie. even though i'm from the mexican state of veracruz (where la bamba was first played?), the first version i heard was los lobos' rendition for the film, so it kind of became a wish of mine to see the movie, and i was not disappointed! i liked how it portrayed the californian 1950s, not only as how it looked through the american dream, but as how it was for the poorest sections of society as well. i also liked how it was a very honest biopic, sometimes too honest. but, the best part is the music (of course it is! how it could be otherwise?) 9.0/10 read more
