when i look at this cover i expect a very shitty movie. but what i got was semi-far from that. the beginning is clunky, in a bad way. but the movie does find its own way later on. im only sad because i really didnt like the mother character and the dog. the dog didnt have any real role in the movie he was only there to put on the "perfect family" look. the mother well, im not sure if the actress couldnt deliver or was it a badly written role, but it felt extremely fake, she didnt really bond with the kids it was forced. and god, even her character was so aggressive at times, like when lita called pete daddy she ran after lita trying to force her to say mommy, but it didnt feel like her motherly instincts woke up it just felt like she was jealous of pete and thats it. similar story with juan, like why would you poke a sleeping child for that? just stoop pleeease. i also wish that instead of the lizzy-older guy route they would have put that time into building up the conflict with the biological mother. but i dont want to ramble more about the bad things. its a good one-time movie to watch.
