I had a lot of fun with 2017's "Murder On The Orient Express"; a story I was already familiar with due to both the book itself and the 1974 film which my parents kept on a VHS tape in our home, and we would occasionally watch together as a family. Kenneth Branagh returns both as director and main character, Hercules Poirot, for the sequel, "Death On The Nile". Is it as good? Not quite. This makes many of the early scenes somewhat slow and superfluous, rendering it a beautiful Nile travelogue. The acting and dialogue is generally good, despite the main cast being supported by an array of B-list British celebrities employed more for their box-office draw... read more Was this review helpful to you?
