part of obligatory october of horror
i was really happy to have finally tracked down a copy of this.
now that i've watched it i'm even happier.
you start off with a wildly unique animation style being used so creatively that it could draw people in all on its own.
but then you add onto that an eerie nightmarish presentation style and a dark true story (that's true-true, not movie-true) and you end up with one of the most fascinating films i've ever seen.
it's somewhat difficult to find (at least where i live) but try to find a way to watch this; i promise it's absolutely worth it.
if you can find it, read the letterboxd description as a quick primer, close your curtains and just sit there in stunned silence for 70 minutes.
