charming and carefree in a ghibli-esque kinda way, luca doesn't quite stick the landing so much as it belly flops on impact. the character design, while looking unique amid pixar's work, comes across as somewhat dull. few of the characters are interesting enough to even remember the names of, especially the antagonist, whose name escapes me even though i just finished the film ten minutes ago. read more
