Batman: Mystery of the Batwoman

an adequate if otherwise unremarkable outing with bats and co. it feels like an overlong episode of the show. it has its fun moments, but it's hardly about batman himself, and that's ultimately why it's so uninteresting. the other reason why it is so inert is that we're given little reason to care about who batwoman really is. who is batwoman? the movie is content to insist over and over. yet this batwoman is not dynamic or striking enough against a pantheon of other bat-men, and bat-women to leave much of an impression. she's a ho-hum character at the center of a run-of-the-mill mystery that... read more
